The Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival in Franklin Square

The 2017 Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival in Franklin Square features an all-new collection of larger-than-life, illuminated silk sculptures, acrobatics, dancers, authentic crafts and the return of a 200-foot-long dragon!

Franklin Square is located at 6th & Race Streets. The Festival is open from 6 pm – 10 pm, Sundays through Thursdays, and 6 pm – 11 pm, Fridays and Saturdays.

Timed tickets are required for entry on Fridays and Saturdays during the Festival. You may enter 15 minutes prior to the time on your ticket or any time after. Once inside you may stay to enjoy the festival for as long as you like. Tickets are not valid after the close of the Festival that day.

Betsy Ross House Movie Night

The only tour of its kind, Independence After Hours takes you on a realistic journey back to 1776. After an 18th-century-inspired dinner at historic City Tavern, and a visit by Thomas Jefferson, the group sneaks into Independence Hall where they eavesdrop on Jefferson, John Adams, and Benjamin Franklin discussing the Declaration of Independence.
