Meet the Women of the Betsy Ross House

Celebrate Women’s History Month at this one-of-a-kind event!

This event, set for 12 p.m. thru 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, offers guests the opportunity to interact with Betsy at two stages of her life, along with her wealthy landlord.  Tour-goers will be greeted in the parlor by Hannah Lithgow, who owned the House when Betsy Ross rented rooms there.  Upstairs, they will come upon a young Betsy Ross secretly stitching the first flag in her bedchamber, away from the prying eyes of Loyalists.  Finally, in the basement, they will meet Betsy Ashburn, the remarried upholsterer, now participating in even more rebellious activity – making musket cartridges for the Continental Army.

Please note: Tickets are timed in 15 minute intervals so please choose your time carefully, as late arrivals will not be admitted and there are no refunds for this limited special program.

Trick-or-Treat Street

Trick-or-Treat Street is Franklin Square's annual Trick-or-Treat event.

Children 10 and under can bring their own Trick-or-Treat bag or they may decorate on site and will follow a map to guide them to their treats along Trick-or-Treat Street.

A parent/guardian may accompany a child if needed, but no additional Trick-or-Treaters will be able to participate without a ticket.

This is a family-friendly community event.  Groups reservations and participation are not available.

Due to its popularity, advance tickets are recommended. Limited in-person tickets are available. Quantities are limited.

If you are unable to attend, please email tickets@historicphiladelphia.org, so that we may give your ticket to another child.

Each child may trick-or-treat only once, so we ask that you do not obtain more tickets than you need so there is room for others.
