Celebrate Women’s History Month at this one-of-a-kind event!
This event, set for 12 p.m. thru 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, offers guests the opportunity to interact with Betsy at two stages of her life, along with her wealthy landlord. Tour-goers will be greeted in the parlor by Hannah Lithgow, who owned the House when Betsy Ross rented rooms there. Upstairs, they will come upon a young Betsy Ross secretly stitching the first flag in her bedchamber, away from the prying eyes of Loyalists. Finally, in the basement, they will meet Betsy Ashburn, the remarried upholsterer, now participating in even more rebellious activity – making musket cartridges for the Continental Army.
Please note: Tickets are timed in 15 minute intervals so please choose your time carefully, as late arrivals will not be admitted and there are no refunds for this limited special program.
